Piano Piano is an authentic Italian restaurant in Rathgar, born from a love of slow cooking and simple ingredients. With a dash of Italian flair and a generous sprinkle of passion, our story began, slowly, steadily like a rich sauce simmering until it’s just right.
From the very first evening, laughter found its way through our cosy trattoria. Glasses clinked, friends gathered, and the warmth of Italy settled into the air. In the kitchen, dough was kneaded, pasta was rolled by hand, and simple ingredients were transformed into something memorable.
Every dish at Piano Piano is a small chapter in our culinary tale rooted in tradition, lifted by creativity, and always made with love. And our name, which means “slowly, slowly” in Italian, is more than a name. It’s our philosophy: a reminder to take your time, savour the flavours, and celebrate life’s best moments around the table.

Really nice place. Been here a few times. Very kind and attentive staff. Food was very tasty and presentation was great. The “pink” cocktail is very delicious. 100% would go back here again. Music is also really relaxing. 😊
We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks and one side. It was just over €130 all together including tip. I don’t mind spending over €100 on tasty authentic food.

Food was very poor for the price. You could get fresher and better quality food in most pubs. The seafood pasta consisted of a few prawns and some diced unidentifiable seafood. The the other pasta dish had guanciale dust rather than any discernable meat. Desserts were out of a packet.

First time here and I’ll be back. My husband had risotto and I had clams in spaghetti. Both delicious. Very authentic Italian.

Parabéns a toda equipe!
